This is the latest action camera from GoPro. The GoPro HD Hero 2 is the next level in High Definition video capture in a rugged form unit. The new GoPro has the latest h.264 video processor from Ambarella using the A5s chip the camera has improved low light capability due to a new CMOS sensor being used. It has been fitted with a shiny new glass lens which increases video quality by a factor of x2 when compared to the previous GoPro Hd camera models.
The A5s chipset and sensor has the ability to take 11mp photo shots. It can take up to 10 of these photos per second in burst mode.
Another new feature of the GoPro 2 camera is the revised LCD screen on the front of the camera making the menus much easier to navigate.
The GoPro HD Hero 2 camera has an audio input jack so you can connect a higher quality remote microphone to the actioncamera. There is a HDMI output and cables are supplied to connect the GoPro camera to a HDTV with a HDMI socket allowing playback of your video in full 1080p giving stunning looking video playback.
GoPro announced a new BACPAK coming very soon that will give the GoPro HD Hero 2 camera WiFi capability. You will be able to wireless remotely control up to 50 cameras using a GoPro remote or you will be able to use your smart phone to play back your videos and photos.
This is the GoPro HD Hero 2 Motorspors Edition. It replaces the previous GoPro camera known as the Motorsports Hero
It comes with all the essential helmet mounts in the box as well as the GoPro suction mount.
