Using the same high resolution Sony CCD based HQ5 Bullet camera but with tweaked lens filters to enhance video colour and sharpness.
The Mini DVR 3 is the 3rd generation of bullet cameras from this range and uses the Zorro 9 chipset for encoding. The video and audio quality is at least 25% better than the last model.
The Zorro 9's menu is now much smoother and easier to navigate.
This is the highest quality bullet camera on the market today. Not only that but we've also managed to have them built for less money than the last version and so we're passint the savings on to you! To put this in to perspective, a bullet camera kit giving this kind of video quality a year ago would have cost you over £500!
The bullet cameras supplied with these kits are based on the HQ2 action cameras . It is just 19mm in dia and 55mm long. The HQ5 550tvl action camera has a high speed reaction time to changing light conditions. The camera is fitted with a wide angle 3.6mm lens which can be changed to give different angles of view if required. The HQ5 will outperform any other camera system, including the HD cameras in low light conditions by a long way.
These action cameras are also fitted with a 1/4" thread on the rear so they can be used with any camera mount available. An external microphone is integrated in to the cable of the camera as well as one being built in to the the screen so you can choose which one to use to give you the best results.
As with the previous model you still get the wrist remote controller which plugs in to the recorder . You can turn the unit on or off and start/stop recording with the remote either on your wrist or hanging from a jacket. This means you can keep the recorder part tucked safely out of the way.
We supply 2 x 1400mAh Li-Ion rechargeable batteries with each system that will give you at least 2 hours record time each. You get an external battery charger that allows you to charge both batteries at the same time. Also supplied with the MiniDVR 3 is a cigarette lighter adapter that can be used to either charge the batteries in the recorder or to power it permanently. The system can be put in "CAR MODE" which detects when you have powered up the recorder from your vehicle. At this point it will turn on and start recording automatically.
This is the perfect little action camera suitable for just about any activity; Motorsports, Skiing or Cycling etc. Various camera mounts are included with the kit, check out the more images at the top of this description.
The bullet camera part of this kit is fully waterproof. This is the system we would choose for filming our ski trip this year!
