Capturing razor sharp 1080p footage at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 frames per second, the ultra adaptable VIO POV.HD is also capable of filming in 720p providing nice clear imagery with smooth flow. In addition to high definition, the POV.HD also provides its users with a standard definition mode of 480p mode. Saving files in H.264, MPEG-4 format, the HD POV is set up with automatic exposure control and auto white balance, which enables it to find the ideal balance for the filming conditions it's faced with. It is fitted with a bigger 2.7x1" HD CMOS sensor for a crisper, sharper image. The V.I.O. Range of Filming modes in the Menu.
The VIO POV.HD gives the user four recording methods, so whatever the situation, you have the right tools for the job. In clip mode you are set up to start and stop recording from your point of view in the normal way, while loop mode enables you to capture footage from the past. Loop and forward mode allow you to capture footage from the past as you continue to record footage into the future. You also get a still image mode in addition to these great film settings. Again, these are features found on no other POV camera system on the market.
Wide Eyed with Minimal Distortion.
When shooting POV video, the biggest fear is the unintentional cutting off of elements in the scene that you'd prefer not to. The POV.HD combats this with a super wide 142º field of view when filming at 1080p. The widest angled POV lens on the market! This means that everything you see is captured, providing the viewer with an accurate depiction of your experience. When you swap down to 720p mode you are provided with a field of view of 95º, which is still a wide enough angle to take in the elements you don’t want to miss. In standard definition 480p mode, the footage is captured at 120º angle of view… so no matter what mode you use, the worry of missing out on any of the action is virtually eliminated. Brightening the scene with an aperture of f/2.0 and a focal distance of 2m to infinity, the POV.HD always ensures the absolute best recordings, thanks to its wide set view on the world.
Capturing Audio from Every Angle.
Since the very beginning of POV camera systems, V.I.O. always had the best audio capturing capabilities. The POV.HD is fitted with a cable mounted, monaural, omni-directional microphone, providing exceptional sound, while filtering out excess wind noise and distortion. To increase the usefulness of this feature, the POV.HD is also equipped with a monaural 8 ohm, Mylar 0.7W max speaker. This'll come in handy when you want to play back that audio you just recorded to make sure you said what you meant to say!
Need more? The POV HD also has a 3.5mm microphone input jack for connecting any type of external mic. You can even use this input to connect to Autosport intercom systems and radio outputs. As before with the POV.1.5 you get full mic level control in the menu.

If you find you need more space… simply chuck another SD card in your bag and you are set to go.

In field manual or automatic exposure control improves the video brightness, colour saturation and contrast in significantly bright, or grey/dark filming conditions. This feature also enables you to set the exposure metering to automatic so the camera controls the sampling area.

Boasting the capability to mount just about anywhere, the star mount even attaches effectively to a baseball cap, so when you are not wearing a helmet you can still capture footage from your head.
